Art is a language.
Literature is an image.
Changming Meng moves between both.
An internationally acclaimed author and visual artist, Meng has presented more than 60 solo exhibitions across Asia, Europe, and the United States, including the National Museum of Nanjing (China), the Chinese Art Center (Germany), the East Osaka Art Museum and Takashimaya Art Gallery (Japan), Eslite Gallery (Taiwan), and the Institute of East Asian Studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
He is the author of numerous books, including Thoughts and Ballads, an award-winning study of Paul Klee, and Star over France. Across page and canvas, his work resists borders—geographic, cultural, and disciplinary. It is not about fusion, but about tension, dialogue, and reinvention.
